New Year, New Updates

So, blogging isn't my strong point lately.  Life has been keeping us busy...or should I say, kids are keeping us busy.  Here is just a quick update.

Travis is such a dedicated and hard worker.  He has been given the opportunity to open and run/manage a new prosthetic office down in Cincinnati.  The office is almost done and they plan to open in February.  I am so proud of him and his success.  The only downfall is that he has been working a ton lately.  We are looking at moving down there sometime this summer to help ease some of the lost time from commuting over an hour (sometimes 2 with traffic!) each way.  I am super excited to see what this next step in his career brings for us!

I just quit my job before Christmas break so I could be home with my girls.  I am LOVING every minute of it!  I love my school, the teachers and students so I was nervous about regretting my decision.  It has turned out so much better than I could have imagined!  I feel like I am more present as a mom and can do all the things that I have dreamed about.  I am so happy with where we are now.  I also just opened up my own online children's clothing boutique.  It is really small, but something that I have always thought would be fun to do!

Adelyn is still just growing and learning every day!  She will be 3 in just a couple months!  eek!  I love that girl to pieces!  Her vocabulary grows every day and she cracks me up with her negotiation skills!  She always asks for "just 2 more minutes, ok mommy?" or "how about I cuddle with you?"  She knows how to get her way!  She is an AMAZING big sister and adores Lila!  Every morning she asks if Lila is awake and if she can go say hi.  She will climb into the crib with her and they just lay there and giggle!  It makes my heart happy!

She is still my little nugget coming in at the 8th and 9th percentile for height and weight.  We are actually taking her in tomorrow for a bone age x-ray to make sure everything is ok.  She is such a happy, positive light in our lives.  She is so sensitive and picks up on others feelings.  If she thinks someone is sad, she will go over and hug them and ask if they are happy now.  She knows her hugs make me smile!

Lila is still our difficult one, bless her heart!  The first 5 months of her life were spent in pain from some sort of reaction to my breastmilk, which now I am thinking could be a gluten intolerance.  Then she had a good solid 3 months that she was the happiest baby I have ever seen!  Now she has been sick for a whole month!  She (and I) can't catch a break!  We got her some antibiotics today so maybe she will be on the mend soon!

She did FINALLY start to crawl.  She showed no interest and then suddenly one day she crawled across the room!  Now she gets any where she needs to go without a problem!  She pulls to stand and loves to walk with help!  Adelyn is her favorite person and she follows her around all day!

I haven't really posted any pictures lately so here are a few from the past several months!
This is their relationship in a nutshell!  Adelyn hugs, squeezes, lays on, nuzzles up to and rubs Lila's head all day long and Lila just pushes her away. haha!
I sure love these two girls!!
 My sweet angel!
 Lovely Lila!
She may be little, bit she is looking so grown up to me!
The world is her playground!  Trying to be happy even though she doesn't feel well!
We went on a family date to Jumpy's.  Adelyn was in heaven!
She was so brave going up these tall slides all by herself!
